April is here and all the snow is melted from my yard.  Even though I have been going outside without my coat on for quite some time, it is actually warm enough for me to be comfortable without it now!  This makes me a happy camper!

New Carseat Guidelines

 

Last week, both the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)  and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued new recommendations for child seats.

   Starting at 11:00 am, Rizzo’s Reptiles will present a live animal program consisting of some off our scaly friends.   The Home Depot's Kids Workshops offer useful projects including the creation of toolboxes, fire trucks and mail organizers, as well as more educational projects, such as a window birdhouse, bughouse or Declaration of Independence frame kit.

The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children.

In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin.

Acorn Montessori School and Courtside Racquet Club are teaming up to get your 3-4 year old into the swing of spring - in the classroom and on the court! The Centenary Stage Company continues their tradition of nurturing young artists by offering the TYRO(beginner) Acting Program and the Young Performers Workshop Summer Intensive Program during the months of June, July and August.
