Is this you?   "I'm too tired to go to the gym. It's okay if I miss one day" or "This slice of pizza/candy bar/ extra glass of wine won’t make that much of a difference." Well, sometimes it doesn't matter, but most of the time it does matter and it will make a difference if you reach your goals or not! I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your day-to-day actions and thoughts do have consequences.

So what's the secret ...

I really love the idea behind these toys.  They are the ultimate action figure, as they are ready to play a real life sport that your boys can relate to. There are no violent or ...

Broadway Bound

The Murphy Girls Sweet Shop

My oldest son just turned 11--I can't believe how quickly the time has gone!  For his birthday, we took him into the city to see a Broadway show.  He loves to act and loves going to the theatre, so for his birthday cake, I thought it would be fun to have a theatre themed cake.

I am not a cake decorator.  I think if I tried, the results would be disastrous, or at least, highly comical.  So, I know when I am looking for a special cake to be ...

New Carseat Guidelines

Last week, both the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)  and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued new recommendations for child seats.

The new guidelines advise parents to…

  • Most children will need to remain in a booster seat until they have reached 4 feet 9 inches tall and are between 8 and 12 years old. The booster seat’s ...

Replenishing Lotion from Dial

This changing weather has really done a number on my skin.  I get very dry skin in the winter as it is, but with the weather warming up and then temperatures dropping again, my skin certainly paid the price.

I was sent a new product from Dial, NutriSkin Replenishing Lotion, around the time my skin was getting really bad.  I was anxious to try it out, but not really sure what to expect.  I was pleasantly surprised at how well and how quickly I saw results.  This lotion is a ...
