Hunterdon Parks and Recreation

Join the Hunterdon County Department of Parks & Recreation and experience a professional rodeo in the true tradition of the Old West. This trip to the Cowtown Rodeo is set for Saturday, July 31. The group will meet at 4:30 pm at the Hunterdon County Arboretum located at1020 Route Rt 31N, in Flemington. We will travel in the Park van to Pilesgrove, New Jersey; this is approximately a two hour ride.

We will attend a performance of the Cowtown Rodeo, the longest running weekly rodeo in the United States. The rodeo features the seven events sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association including bareback bronc riding, calf roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, bull riding, team roping and barrel racing.  Refreshments are available at the rodeo or you may bring a hand-held cooler (glass containers are not allowed).

This event is held outside rain or shine and with bleacher seating so dress accordingly.  This program is for ages nine & up; children must be accompanied by an adult, $25 for adults and $20 for children 9-12. We plan to be back at the Arboretum by 11:30 pm.
