Warmables

August 8, 2010

I don't know about you, but about a month into the new school year, my kids are bored with their lunch options.  They are no longer interested in sandwiches, they want something better.  Well, typically, those better things need to be heated up.  I have had a difficult time finding a container that really keeps things warm without making them soggy or actually keeping the heat in.

Apparently, I am not the only one who would like to have a warm lunch for my kids.  Warmables was created with this idea in mind.  I was sent a Warmables lunch kit to review and I really like it.  What's included in Warmables?  A blue insulated pouch, a BPA free microwave, freezer, and dishwater safe container for food, and a cherry pit bag.  The cherry pit bag is an old fashioned way to hold heat.  So, here is how it works.  Place any kind of food in the leak proof container and microwave it.  Then microwave the cherry pit bag.  Put both of those inside the pouch.  That's it!  Then your kid will have a super yummy, healthy alternative to a hot lunch from school or a cold lunch from home.  They will be happy and so will you, knowing that their food will be nice and warm for their lunch that day.
