Run For Your Lives! Haunted Village at the Red Mill Returns

Giveaway!

October 22, 2014
One of the fall traditions we have with our older kids is to take them to the Haunted Village in Clinton.  This is a favorite Halloween tradition and as our kids get older, each one looks forward to being old enough to go.  The Haunted Mill is a very fun attraction, best suited for 10 years old and above.  We were thrilled to go and visit it on opening night this past weekend!

I can tell you it is super fun, not overly scary, but very creative and festive.  Run by local volunteers, you might even catch a peak at a football coach or neighbor inside the haunted mill!  Divided into three sections, the beginning finds you actually inside the old red mill (which in and of itself is pretty creepy!).  Once you have survived that aspect of the haunted village, you then get to go for a very spooky hay ride.  We love this, as you never know who you will find yourself facing!  It then drops you off at the end of the village, where you have to work your way back through the labryinth back to the mill.  We love the special effects, the attention to detail is fantastic, and you might even find yourself walking through a spinning vortex this year!

Once you are done, pick up a cup of hot chocolate to warm up your body after all the chills and thrills you have experienced!  My kids are already planning additional trips this year, so be sure to go and visit this weekend or the next!

The Rising Dead…run for your lives
As the long, bitter winter gave way to spring, the ice and snow finally released its frozen grip on the Clinton area.  Residents were relieved that the ground was finally uncovered in what was surely the most frigid winter on record.  Their relief vanished as the saturated ground emanated a stench that could not be explained.  And the nightmare is born…. residents begin to disappear… horrific human-like creatures wander the streets looking for victims.  The stench surrounds them like a plague as they attack healthy prey and leave the disfigured bodies to be transformed into the living dead.  The only hope left for the town is to capture and test a creature in order to find a vaccine to protect the healthy from this evil virus.

Are you looking for an adrenaline-pumping, spine-tingling experience? Frequently imitated, but never duplicated, the Haunted Village is a “MUST SEE”. With an original theme every year, a cast of over 50 live actors and state of the art sound and visual effects, this attraction is not for the faint hearted, and is not intended for young children.

This spine-tingling event is co-designed and produced by Jennifer Frick and Steve Giordano, with their ever growing cadre’ of devoted volunteers.  Each year they expand and evolve their twisted and gruesome repertoire of tricks and treats for this amazing production.

Covering over 9 acres of truly haunted terrain, the Haunted Village offers 3 horrifying adventures for one low price.
