Chabad of Hunterdon County offers a unique summer camp experience for children ages 3-13. Camp Gan Israel is located in the heart of Hunterdon County at the Acorn Montessori School in Lebanon, NJ
CGI - Camp Gan Israel offers an array of fun summer activities including sports, swimming, trips, and professional programs and entertainment such as Zumba, pottery, glass works and Mad Science. CGI is known for their highly trained and experienced staff with a high counselor camper ratio. Our goal is to provide a safe and fun experience for each camper.
New CGI directors, Shloime and Chana Greene, have more than a decade of combined experience working with education and youth. They have directed camps in Israel, California, Florida, Seattle and New York. They bring with them a wealth of knowledge to create a dynamic, fun filled summer experience for campers throughout the Hunterdon County area..
"Summer is a critical time in a child's life. A successful summer camp experience is more than a break from studies to let loose. Every activity is a major learning experience," said Chana Greene of the CGI camp. "Our program is designed to let our camper's minds freely explore nature, indulge in craft projects, enjoy sports and water activities, all while building character and responsibility in a relaxed, fun atmosphere."
Campers at CGI are divided into age groups for individualized attention and supervision. Under the guidance of dedicated counselors, the children of each group work together as a team and learn the value of friendship and camaraderie.
Summer 2015 features a fun filled schedule with exciting trips including; Dorney Park, Bounce U, Art Attack, Laser Tag, Bowling, Land of Make Believe, Museums, and more. This is in addition to swimming three times a week with certified lifeguards at HealthQuest in Flemington.
Our amazing in-house schedule features: Sports activities, Kids in the Kitchen, Pottery Painting, Comedy skits, talent shows, and carnival days. These programs challenge children to develop their innate talents. Exciting activities, stories, games, contests and Friday Shabbat parties are all part of the unique Camp Gan Israel experience. CGI innovative arts and crafts counselors teach the children to be creative and imaginative.
