Review
My kids live outside and love to ride bikes, skateboards, and scooters. I thought we had seen it all, but I was really wrong. We were recently sent an amazing new scooter, unlike any I have ever seen--The Rockboard Original. My kids were instantly intrigued.
You might think what could possibly make the Rockboard any different than every other scooter out there. Kids propel themselves on the scooter, without ever putting one foot on the ground. It's not electric, either. There is a special mechanism that allows your child to pump their legs while on the scooter, creating the momentum for constant movement.
While it is always great the have the kids moving, I was certainly impressed with this scooter in particular. You could see the workout their legs were getting while on the scooter. My kids picked up the skill quickly, as did other friends. While it looks complicated, it is very simple.
Another cool thing about The Rockboard Original is that it is really two scooters in one. If they don't feel like pumping, they can transform it into a traditional scooter. They can also fold it up and carry it to take other places. When not folded, though, there is a kickstand they can use to park it. Great feature! All four of my kids love The Rockboard and I can see now that the only negative is that I only have one to share among all four! I highly recommend The Rockboard Original to families with children 8 and older (although, my younger ones did get the hang of it!). Very fun and I know that they will get tons of use out of it this summer.
