As a dietitian, I am always on the hunt for quick and easy dinner recipes. This air-fryer chicken recipe is our go-to on those nights where we just don't have a lot of time, but we still want to eat something that is healthy! We love to pair the chicken with fresh vegetables and a small serving of pasta or rice.

Air-Fryer Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

4 Chicken Thighs

3/4 tbsp. garlic powder

2 tsp. smoked paprika (you also can use regular paprika)

1 tbsp. oregano

1 tbsp. basil leaves

2 tsp. brown sugar

3-4 tbsp. Adobo

Olive Oil

Directions:

1. Mix garlic powder, paprika, oregano, basil leaves, brown sugar, and adobo together in a bowl. Set aside.

2. Take your chicken thighs out of the package and pat them dry with a paper towel. You want to make sure they are not wet or the rub will not stick!

3. Rub the spice mix onto each chicken thigh (top and bottom)

4. Place chicken thighs with the skin side facing up in the air fryer. Drizzle with olive oil.

5. Set air fryer to 400 degrees and cook for 10 minutes.

6. Flip the chicken thighs and cook for an additional 10 minutes at 400 degrees.

FOOD SAFETY: Be sure to check that the chicken is cooked to at least 165 degrees!

7. Enjoy! If you have leftovers store them in an airtight container and reheat using the air fryer!
