Back to school is upon us, so I know that you are searching for all those items on your list. I have a great new lunchbox to tell you about--the Litter Free Lunch Box.
Our school is currently working on a trash free lunch campaign, so this particular lunchbox was really interesting to me. I received one to check out and I am really impressed. This kit is sturdy and insulated. Easy to carry and easy to wipe down or even wash in the washing machine. Inside the bag is tons of room for a healthy lunch for your kiddos. My favorite part? The great BPA free containers that fit within. Both dishwasher and microwave safe, these four containers of various sizes are great for any snack imaginable. I can use all four at once, if I want, and still have room for the included BPA free water bottle. I received the brown and green designed kit, so my accessories are also a tinted brown. Fun, practical, safe, and environmentally friendly.
The trash free lunch movement is great for so many reasons. Each year 3.5 billion pounds of lunchbox gargabe are generated! That is a huge amount of trash! So, when you use reusable containers, you are helping to eliminate some of that excessive waste. In additon to helping the environment, you are saving some money on items that are literally going to be thrown away, and you are ensuring healthier items in your child's lunch. Prepackaged foods, while convienient, are not exactly known for being healthy! You will be surprised how easy it is to pack healthful and creative lunches your kids will enjoy eating.
