Truthfully, I have never really given Brooke Burke much thought. I don't watch a lot of TV and I really didn't know much about her. However, I decided to read her new book, The Naked Mom: A Modern Mom's Fearless Revelations, Savvy Advice, and Soulful Reflections , when the opportunity arose. Having four children of my own, I was interested to see how this celebrity mom of four viewed her role as a mother.
Brooke Burke leads a busy life, to be sure, juggling family, work, and other responsibilities, so it was fun to peer into her life through the pages of her book. She had some really great tips on diet, makeup, fashion, and juggling it all. The big theme in the book was being true to you and dedicating time for yourself as a woman. If Mom is happy, it will all filter down. I completely agree with that and see the benefits of putting yourself first. It is so true that, as moms, we tend to put our own needs last. But, I couldn't help but think, maybe it is a bit easier to actually do that with a nanny at your disposal....
I really enjoyed Brooke's beauty tips to do at home and her "Naked Truths" throughout the book. Fans of Brooke Burke will really enjoy reading her reflections on motherhood. You can purchase The Naked Mom online or at your local bookstore.
